Our Mission

The Bolton Community Fund is a 501(c)(3) developed by the Bolton Rally Group dedicated to enhancing the capacity of the community to care for our neighbors in need through strategic leadership, direct outreach and grant-making. As we harness the collective power of our people, businesses and community groups, we will lift, strengthen, inspire and connect.

Our Inspiration

This new fund was inspired by fellow community leaders who struggle to help the seniors in our area who can’t pay their heating bills in the winter, our school nurses and administrators who work with the 320 students in our district who depend on free or reduced lunch, and the 5 local food pantries that have fed an estimated 8000 of our neighbors so far this year. As we dug a little deeper, we were surprised to learn that over 800 families in the Nashoba Regional School District live at or close to the poverty line, which is under $25,000/year.  In a community known for its abundance and also for its culture of genuine care for one another, we decided to launch the Bolton Community Fund, aimed at harnessing that compassion and caring to reach our neighbors in need.

Our goal is to create a system through which the basic needs of our neighbors are met through the power of our community.

Our Goal

What We Do

The Bolton Community Fund recognizes that there are many organizations better positioned to meet needs like food, heat and transportation. But these organizations are small and consistently strapped for funding. And what’s worse, limited resources can keep these organizations from serving our neighbors who need help. The Bolton Community Fund will follows these five steps:

  1. Raise money

  2. Manage an application process in which local nonprofit organizations can apply for financial assistance to meet specific needs in our community

  3. Evaluate applicants

  4. Award grants

  5. Track results and report back to the community
